DiCapo Foods is a mom and son company started in the kitchen of the DiCapo’s home in 1997 by Sugie (Anita) and John David DiCapo.
DiCapo Foods began by making Italian rice balls (rongini) and then bought the rights to Jim’s Famous hot tamales. After Jim’s tamales became a part of DiCapo foods the pair developed Chili Shack chili to accompany the tamales.
During the holidays in 2003 Sugie decided to bake her wonderful holiday cookies at the plant instead of doing the labor of love at home. People started to come by and purchase cookies for their own families and Dicapo’s Italian holiday and wedding cookies arrived.
DiCapo Foods is a small family business making wonderful foods using old world recipes and methods that are reflected in our products.
